You can issue SSL certificated for valid domains in cPanel. To issue a new trusted SSL certificate you need to follow the steps below. The SSL certificate once issues will renew automatically. Trusted SSL certificates encrypt data between your website and visitors' browsers making is near impossible to 'snoop' on your traffic. AutoSSL typically runs automatically, to generate SSL certificates for new domains but you can also trigger it manually when needed. Running AutoSSL from cPanel Interface to generate and issue a SSL certificate.Step 1: Access SSL/TLS Settings
- Log into your cPanel account
- Navigate to the Security section
- Click on SSL/TLS Status:
- Click the Run AutoSSL button at the top of the page
- AutoSSL will begin checking all eligible domains
- Wait for the process to complete (this may take several minutes)
Step 2 Check Results
- Successfully generated certificates will show a green checkmark
- After the issue of the SSL certificate is successful, it could take upto 20 minutes to go live on your domain(s).
- Failed attempts will display error messages explaining the issue
