How to Change a Domain's Document Root in cPanel

To change the document root for a domain in cPanel premium hosting do the following

1) Log into your cPanel

2) Click on 'Domains'  

3) Click 'Manage' to the right of the domain.

4) Click 'Remove Domain'

5) Click 'Yes remove this domain'            **Do not worry, it only removes the domain from the web server, it does not remove any data**

Now we re-add the domain name with the new document root

1) Click on 'Create a new domain'

2) Deselect 'Share document root'

3) Enter the document root you wish to use.

4) Click 'submit'

And that's it your domain name will now use the document root you entered.

Note, changing the 'Main Domain' document root is not supported in cPanel,if this needs to be changed you need to contact support at https://support.ifastnet.com
